As mentioned earlier, the Sagunto farmers were tapped to be the first to receive the 2.5 million project assistance loan from the Sison Municipal Agricultural Office (MAO). The photos below, submitted by Rolly Benosa shows how far ahead the Sagunto farmers have gotten with this project already. They are well on their way to becoming the source for cherry tomatoes in the region.

SAGUNTO FARMERS AND MUNICIPAL OFFICIALS SIGN PACT

February 18, 2009 – Mayor Kimi S. Cojuangco and DA Head, Ms. Belinda Villanueva, signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Sagunto farmers represented by Rolly C. Benosa, Elmer C. Eliseo, Raymond P. Balinao and Daniel B. Pascua.
The Php2.5 Million cash loan with no interest and no collateral is payable within three years at Php417K per cropping season which is twice a month year.
Witnesses during the activity were the members of the Sanggunian Bayan headed by Vice Mayor Mari?as, other staffs from the Municipal Agricultural Office (MAO), the Municipal Treasurer, Mrs. Virtudes T. Blanco, the Municipal Accountant, Mrs. Janette I. Gutierrez, Mr. Inocencio G. Carganilla and Mr. Keong Reyes.
