Violeta Quidangen Sipus

Jeanette on Apr 14th 2008

Violeta Quidangen SipusOne of the beloved mothers of Sagunto, Mrs. Violeta Quidangen Sipus, went on the greatest of all journeys on March 29, 2008. Her extended family and friends gathered for a final farewell on April 11 and April 12. The tribute was worthy of someone so beloved. Here is a short excerpt from her biography:

To Violeta Quidangen Sipus the whole world was a stage. An expressive, optimistic and uninhibited individual, she was a performer in the theater of life. To everyone around her she seemed to be eternally happy and willingly shared that joy with anyone whose life she touched. To Violeta, bringing out the best in any situation was as easy as offering a smile, a witty remark or the twinkle of an eye. And with just those simple gestures she could evoke the most pleasant of emotions. Violeta really mastered the art of living and had great fun in doing so.

Violeta was born on November 20, 1923 at home by a village midwife in Sagunto, Sison, Pangasinan, Philippines. Her parents were Vicente and Modesta Quidangen. Violeta was raised in Sagunto, Sison, Pangasinan, Philippines. Even as a child Violeta had the ability to lift the spirits of all those around her. She was raised to be warm, caring and friendly. She couldn’t help but capture everyone’s attention. She was definitely a little bit of a show off, but in doing so she succeeded in entertaining her entire family.

Our Prayers are With You

Jeanette on Dec 21st 2007

The Sagunto family would like to express our condolence to two more families who have lost loved ones this holiday season. Our prayers are with you.

To the family of Ireneo Quillaman, who is now at peace with his maker, we offer our condolences at the passing of your father.
From Eva Santillano:

Lolo Ireneo was an educator and served as principal in various private schools in Mindanao. After retiring he accepted the offer OB Montessori as Principal, in Quezon City. He is the youngest sibling of the Sagunto Quillaman clan whichi included Lola Romana, Lolo Gregorio and Lola Francisca “Paning” in New Jersey.

Lolo Ireneo led the Delegation of Bago Sison when they went for assembly in San Emilio Ilocos Sur. He and his wife Lita have five children, Raymund, Roland, Alma, Masli, and Angeles.

To the Baiguen & Pagala family, we are saddened to hear of the unexpected passing of Marie Pagala daughter of Remy Baiguen and Manuel Pagala. Marie, too soon taken from us, is a daughter, grand-daughter, mother, sister, cousin, niece to countless Saguntonians. We wish your star could have shined on all of us longer.

Condolence

Jeanette on Dec 20th 2007

The Sagunto Star and the rest of the Sagunto community would like to express our condolence to the Dawa and Garcia families. Our prayers are with you.

Mrs. Dominga Dawa
Auntie Inga, as she is known to most of us, is a christian woman who helped to raise and take care of many Saguntonians, our family included. While she was in Baguio living with us (Pasibe family) her sons lived with our Lolo and Lola in Sagunto and were like brothers to us when we visited our grandparents. She also took care of the Annaguey and Quillaman clan thereafter and has been a fixture in their family since. She was preceded in death by her son Anton and is survived by Marcelo (Kulas)  who we believe has been living in Kaparyaan, Ilocos. She will be missed.

We would also like to extend our prayers to the GARCIA FAMILY  from Esperanza at the passing of their father. Mrs. Maura Baslaoang Garcia was one of the Reyna ang Lola Ko candidates, who was unfortunately absent during the celebrations due to the unexpected passing of her husband. Romelia, a good friend of the family writes the following which also expresses the sentiments of the Sagunto community:

On behalf of the Sagunto Friendship Association-London, I would like to express our great sense of loss and send our most sincere condolences to the Garcia Family.
Please accept our deepest sympathy in the loss of your husband father, brother and grandfather. Your hearts are sad at this time but your memories are always with you, clear and wonderful.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family during this difficult time. May God give you the strength and peace you will need during this time.
From Romelia(SFAL-secretary)
