Congressman Cojuangco Melts Down

Jeanette on Feb 5th 2010

Congressman Mark O. Cojuangco is a man of many passions. When he decides to advocate a cause, he pursues it relentlessly and takes it to heart. That’s how he is with the many initiatives he’s created to benefit the constituents in his district in Pangasinan.

As his term in congress nears its end, the congressman was still tirelessly lobbying to get his bill regarding the recommissioning of the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) passed.

Whether you agree with the congressman’s vision of recommissioning the BNPP or not, his persistent advocacy and dogged determination is admirable; his passion beyond compare of the run of the mill politician. You can see how he literally takes these interests to heart as he is emotionally overcome by the failure of his bill to pass.

Pangasinan’s 5th district has been lucky to have him represent their interests in Congress. So to the outgoing Congressman, we express a heartfelt THANK YOU for a service well done. I doubt that many will argue that you left your district in a better state than you found it.
