Another flyer circulating Sison this election season is this one that touts ex-mayor Lagmay’s accomplishments during his 20 something years in office. Since it’s in Filipino, I will again stretch my translating capabilities and enumerate them here. There’s only 22 items on here so these are loose translations, not literal. Projects Accomplished During the Lagmay Administration
1. Open Door Policy – anyone can visit my office anytime
2. Any documents and and pleas for help were immediately available. This mayor was available for signatures anytime and anywhere.
3. Almost all roads were concreted all the way to the most remote Barangay
4. We built a bridge and installed street lights in all barangays
5. We installed “Potable Water System” and irrigation for farmers
6. Brought a Medical Mission where free and necessary medicines were provided to each barangay; performed marriage ceremonies for free.
7. Gave “Mono-Bloc Chairs” to barangays and schools.
8. Built the Public Market, PNP Building, Fire Station Building, SHA-LA Hall, Municipal Library/Museum, Municipal Canteen, Health Center, and expansion and renovation of the Municipal Hall; The present municipal hall was built during the Lagmay Administration.
9. Construction of Historical Markers after 8 years of comprehensive research, which were removed, including the Jose P. Rizal monument, without “legal process” and was against the law.
10. Construction of Barangay Plaza and Barangay Hall.
11. Construction of Flood Control Dikes at “CAPTOC” and Bulaoen West
12. Initiated SSS Coverage or Membership among CVOs
13. Electrification and Installation of Street Lights
14. Installation of Christmas Lights along the National Highway and Poblacion Streets every December
15. Beautiful Parades every Town Fiesta including (2) famous bands that circle the whole town, and at every night, dancing at the municipal auditorium to the accompaniment of (2) famous orchestras.
16. Acknowledgement and support of all Youth Projects and Gay Programs
17. Dedicated one day, the first day of each Town Fiesta, to allow all Religious Sectors the chance to proclaim their beliefs.
18. All out support of all SK Halloween Activities which were the talk of all Luzon and was attended by many.
19. Imposed “Affordable Taxation” that is within reach of all Sisonians
20. Provided “Rostrums” to Barangays and Schools that now bear the signs “Donated by Mayor Lagmay”
21. Attended all Barangay events
22. Distributed calendars annually
Mayor Kimi Cojuangco’s time in office is a mere fraction of the the two decades of Lagmay administration. She leaves her office with a coffer full of over Php 90M, this after coming in with a paltry sum in the treasury that was not even enough to pay an increase to municipal employees. You will notice on the following report that the initial period of Mayor Kimi’s term, June 2007 to December 2007, is not included in the report below, that is because, according to her staff, most of the funds spent during this period were from donations she procured through her contacts and from her own personal funds. The period covered by the attached document are for the years 2008, 2009 and the early part of 2010. Here are some highlights:
Not mentioned on the list are the various initiatives and developments brought to Sison by Mayor Kimi which included donations from her own personal funds: computer units in schools, school supplies, typhoon relief, medical missions, and many more.
All these were accomplished in the short term she was in office and still she found time to attend various barangay events, pageants and even managed to put on a few of star studded shows on the newly constructed town plaza.
So you decide, who has done more for Sison? When you’re dancing your way to the polls on Monday, think of this….

Paano nasikmurang sabihin ni Rick ang “Mukhang Pera ang Taga Sison”… Dahil hindi ba sya taga Sison? Rick,you better get out of Sison… We don’t need an arrogant Mayor here who would initiate tension in the municipal plaza.. Kahit alalahanin mo man lang ang kapakanan at kaligtasan ng mga tao mo..
Tga sison din po ba tlga si Kimi? O ng kataon lng na may negosyo sila sa sison na kagaya din ni Mr. Farinas. Naalala ko lng kc nung tumakbong mayor ng sison si Mrs. Cojuangco. Ni walang nkakakilala sa knya,ang alam lng natin asawa siya ni Mr. Mark Cojuangco. so you’re denying that the administration spend alot of money this past election or you don’t know at all? everybody knows that all barangay officials entire of sisons are paid and promised for more just to make sure the cojuancos puppets win the election…BOMBA???..mayroon bang sumabog malapit sa bahay ni mina joy pangasinan?…may sumabog kaya lang GULONG ng sakyan hindi bomba….ang mga nagrally di raw binigyan ng permit….sinungaling may permit sila…kaya huwag basta maniwala sa black propaganda ni loejan anudon na pawang kasinungalingan at may pinapanigan
