Mayor Kimi has certainly brought about the season for Sison. Even since taking office less than a year ago, she has initiated numerous improvements not just in the beautification of Sison but also improvements to the governance and infrastructure of our beloved town. Here are a few things going on in Sison, in case you haven’t had a chance to visit the Season for Sison website lately:

The new SISON MUNICIPAL LIBRARY is now complete, thanks to the team of our mayor Kimi and her sister, Cristy.

ARTACHO SCHOOL GETS NEW BALUSTRADE
The acting Vice Mayor, Hon. Eric Biason donated cement to build a balustrade in front of the newly constructed Mark O. Cojuangco Building at Artacho Elementary School. This is part of the effort to ready the Grade 5 room for an upcoming science competition this month.

KARYO FLIES TO THE LAND OF DOLLS
It is a practice of Mayor Kimi to bring one of her staff to accompany her on her jaunts to visit Saguntonians abroad. During her recent visit to California to attend the gathering of the Sisonian’s in San Diego, Pangasinan Provincial Tribal Federation Chieftain, Mr. Inocencio “Karyo” G. Carganilla, was the lucky one to travel with the mayor. It should be noted that these overseas jaunts to unite Sisonians all over the world are funded not by government funds but rather at Mayor Kimi’s personal expense.

Hello to you to, Sir OIC Mayor! Oh, you are just right there. Now we know that you keep visiting and browsing us here in SS, hehe. Thanks to all officials getting energetic as usual even when our Mayor is away…That’s why she has peace of mind wherever she is. ;-)

Hello Mayor Kimi! Babot has plans for you if you decide to visit her in Palos Verdes. Will you be in Long Beach?

Hey, I got excited reading that Hybrid rice F1 ! Is that true? 196 pesos per kilo of F1? Compared to 13 pesos per kilo of ordinary rice, I think many will shift to producing F1. There is a downside to that though…more scarcity of rice food and more paddies will accommodate F1. On another thought, 196 could cover lots of living expenses!!!!May we ask what that F1 rice is good for? Would it be used for sake making? Mochi or any ingredient for an expensive food making its price soar to a whopping 196 pesos? A pulverized rice could become rice cakes or other alternative to wheat flour which is now soooo expensive.

Would our weather condition, dry rivers and poor irrigation match the needs of F1 rice? I’m afraid that it could be another hoshihikari Jap rice case that needed so much water and mineral-type snow water, much would be required by F1. I heard that Esperanza experimented on this before. Oh, nakakainggit talaga Esperanza, very good ang water source nyo dyan , OIC Mayor!

I am just closely studying this experimental paddy in the Agri high I am in, rice paddies have this plastic layer underneath to keep the water at the surface. I wonder where that hybrid originated from? Is that another UP-IRRI produce? Anyway. I trust or DA had fully studied the characteristics of that new Messiah rice that could bolster productivity in our communities. Congratulations and thanks too, DA Sison for always finding Agri solutions for our people!
