Anyway, Sagunto folks, keep up with the goodgoat-raising tho typhoons always threaten production. I think the Mayor is now pushing on French beans (lubias) growing and milking cow biz. Holy Cow!

Sis Evz,
I was just looking at the Municipal website under the barangays,
it is a little surprise to me to see the census data on the barangay area and population, too. Sagunto now has 1926 residents (I guess that’s counting Macoco, Pilaoan, etc., that are also sitios of Sagunto). Very interesting…Artacho has 1121 residents and Agat is shown to have 4339 residents. I wonder if the Agat number is a typo?

Yap even me am wondering about the data not that am just questioning or its a big deal but my point is Agat is a lot smaller than Sagunto how come that they have that no. of Population being presented. Hope Kagawad Loejan can help us answering that figures anyway he is always in the municipal offices. Saan ngata nga naakasan ti tattao diay Sagunton idi nag census da? nagtatanong lang po!

Hehe, biz makes the world go round evs. What would happen to a community’s economy if nobody wants and demands and nobody supplies? aber…hehe. About Agat, I don’t think it’s a typo. Haven’t you noticed that in the 80’s and we were just holding DBVS or Vacation Bible School in Agat primary school, the Old Road was not that thickly populated. In the late 90’s we were surprised that new houses (the size similar to shanties in Manila, sorry, wrong comparison) started to mushroom along that Old Road that used to be the chortcut to Baguio Kennon during the “peace time” . The popularity of that road even attracted many ex-WW2 soldiers to hold excursions along memory lane and sentimental journeys…didn’t you hear about that last year? There are now so many new families around that upper Agat. And since I think most of the Saguntonians are either in Manila or other cities during the census (Oh yeah, Apo Cesar Carino was trying to catch me during the census last year, but we fled before his team could jot our names), and more Agat people come home everyday making Agat their regular residence, that proves the figure. You will be surprised…many more are in need of medicines there than in Sagunto. We and CYF had some OTC medical goodies distributed there in 1994. (If I were to run for office, I would always campaign here for a win, hehe. ) The newcomers must be those who worked around Pajara bridge construction before, Pepsi and the Camp communities. See how our commuites become multi-cultural now. Our Pilaoan brothers have Itneg and Kankanaeys, etc. branch of culture. More fun!

About the population of Agat, there’s something wrong with the digits. Paldit has the most next is Labayug or asan Sur. Sagunto’s population is more than Agat and Artacho. I once came upon this error and thought of informing the webmaster thru that person who gave him the data pero laging nakakalimutan.
