Our lady Mayor has quite a task to help everyone recover from the storm damage. Let’s all do our best to help our fellow kabaryoan. As one can imagine, getting the amounts distributed to those affected won’t be an easy task and will probably take some time. Time that our fellow Saguntonians living without a roof over their heads do not have. I am awaiting a formal letter from the Tribal Council to give us an assessment of what is immediately needed. I have also discussed with our IT to enable a way (such as PayPal) on our site to assist with monetary collection for relief aids. Once the formal letter is received we will post it here. I hope you can set aside a little something to help.

God bless you all…AND thank you Mayor Kimi and Congressman Mark for all the hard work you continue to do for your constituents.

At last, I can browse at all these photos…now lesser stress and worries…now that our barrio folks have recovered a bit and are ready to face their normal tasks ahead. There’d be three more weeks without electricity but I am sure, “new lifestyles” have been formed adjusting to these difficulties. I bet as early as 6 pm, many homemakers are already setting their dinner table, and young and old people alike head home earlier than before. See this good thing emerging from hardship. The gesture done by our municipal government is also so moving and inspiring. Though there’s just small amount doled out to the most needy, we all know that their concern means a lot more than material support. And wow! As usual, the Chinese community is this warm and concerned again by sharing whatever they could extend. Pagpalain kay sana ng Panginoon. I am just wishing that our officials get some rest as well. Madam Mayor, pahinga muna kayo konti. Times like these would enervate all energies and may threaten good health that is so important esp. when our people need you most. May all our people be blessed and protected by our Good Lord above. I can see a brighter dawn ahead.
