SAGUNTO SKs Top Batch 2007-2008 ANHS Graduating Class

Barangay Sagunto gained another feather in its cap from of the exemplary performances of the three Sanggunian Kabataan Members who topped the Artacho National High School graduating class, batch 2007-2008.

The ANHS Commencement Exercises were held on March 28, 2008. At exactly two o’clock in the afternoon, the graduating class, accompanied by their proud parents, began their procession starting from the school main gate that passed through the whole school sports ground to their assigned seats at the social hall under the Mango tree.
The intense summer heat did not mar the occasion because of the euphoria that engulfed everyone.
The multi-talented Dr. Cecilia P. Rosido, Education Supervisor II, SED, DepEd RO 1, was chosen as the Commencement Speaker. In her very inspiring message, she gave emphasis on poverty as a mere detour to success.
In lieu of Mayor Kimi who was in Manila for various important appointments, the Honorable Vice Mayor Bensaulozacheus L. Marinas attended the ceremony. Former Sanggunian Bayan Member, Santiago B. Villoso, being the incumbent High School PTCA president, was also in attendance.

So here they are–the bright kids we are looking for. As you leave your school portals and merge with the bigger society of higher learning and responsibility, we lay on your shoulder our trust and hope that you will forever persevere. This applies to all our young people. It’s about time you be more heard and visible in the community. Shareto the rest of the SKs your talents and intelligence. Congatulations for your successes young men and your whole batch! Thank you for standing up for our barrio. Thanks to your parents and grandparents too and the community and school that provided good learning to you and your fellow students. Thanks to all teachers who always try their best in molding the minds of our youth. Thanks to the town admin. for supplying our school with the much needed facilities, books and more materials coming in. Thanks to the donors who keep supporting the needs of our school, our alma mater. And thanks as well to our community officials and people for providing our children a peaceful and harmonious environment…for it takes a town or community to raise our children. Let us all support these good initiatives for the benefit of all our young people…for the good of us all.

Me again…And I want to take this opportunity to follow-up on our barangay library donations of books and computers. Carry with you when you come home the stuff you want to donate. How about the ones who were thinking of donating video players and stuff to Carmela (hello all, remember Carmela?) Yes, siree, she is still hoping somebody would finally grant her wishes of materials for the kindergarten in Artacho. I heard each time she drops by Ferdz/Boydick’s netroom, she keeps asking if somebody has finally promised something…SIGH. wala pa ata hanggang ngayon. Carmela, gusto mo ba ng Japanese videos?
And listen to Jwun praying for any scholarship. Congrats talaga Wahl, ang dami mong award! Sure na sure na scholarship mo. Sana nga sa UP ka na, o kaya sa gusto mo talagang puntahan. Jwun and John, don’t worry, there’ll be very kind people to grant you your wishes of scholarships. SAGUNTOSTAR has lots of very generous readers. Just keep praying.

I would like to commend you for your perseverance and dedication to excel. I would also like to commend your teachers, parents and families who have supported you in your journey towards excellence. Without their support, it would have been difficult for you to accomplish such achievements.
