EDUARDO S. COJUANGCO III …. A HEARTTHROB DURING THE BARANGAY SAGUNTO POST VALENTINE’S PROGRAM
By Loejan Anudon

“The attention and love that used to be mine has become scant but all that my parents love, I have also come to love them.”

Uproar of extreme exhilaration filled the Barangay Sagunto Plaza when Eduardo Cojuangco III appeared on the way in.

Days prior to the celebration of the Post Valentine’s Program that was held on February 16, 2008, news already spread to almost all Saguntonians around the globe about the visit of the only son of Congressman Mark O. Cojuangco and Mayor Kimi that sparked appreciative conjectures and tattles among the teenage groups in the barangay. Curiosities and excitement also engulfed the middleaged and the senior citizens.

Being the proxy of her mom as the evening’s guest of honor and speaker, Eduardo Cojuangco III, who is popularly known as Kako, highlighted on the great love shared by his parents to the constituents of Sison and their incomparable passion to the numerous projects they want to attain for the town’s development. In the midst of his discourse, he said, “The attention and love that used to be mine has become scant but all that my parents love, I have also come to love them!”

Eduardo III, the gorgeous Dana Della from Baguio City, Mr. Brent Banusan and Miss Crystalline Narbonita were the searchers in the love game segment of the program. In his turn, Eduardo III asked tailored questions prepared by the game hosts for the three lady searchees concealed inside an improvised curtain-covered canopy. In the portion where the ladies were required to tell something about themselves, Kako was atrociously stunned by the revelation of one of the lady searchees who took vanity of her deep gusto with cat meat which she claimed to be one of the chows she fancied most. Funny expression of revulsion was obvious in the face of Kako but he was always a good player during the entirety of the game. His search finally ended when he selected lady searchee number one, Miss Ellaine Grace B. Gaudiano, a University of Cordilleras freshy and the beautiful SK Chairwoman of barangay Sagunto.

MUCHOS GRACIAS KAKO! Your amiable personality enthralled the hearts of many Saguntonians. We look forward to more of your visits!

What makes a party like a party?
Is it the music? The people, the food? It’s hard to say really, but when the right ingredients are mixed with the right atmosphere, it comes alive and becomes an unforgettable experience. All a host can do is made sure the right atmosphere and ingredients are in place and hope for the best.
As it turns out, the same is true for the community. The job of the community host is to set the stage for community program to develop – to combine the right ingredients with right atmosphere. If the conditions are right – an engaged and successful community may develop over time.
Curiously, hosting parties share a lot of consistencies. In both cases, there are timeless ingredients that worked together to create an environment that leads to success.
Thanks mng. Loejan for sharing the news:
It was a very great pleasure to have the one and only son of the Congressman Mark and Mayor Kimi was the glue that holds everything together for the post valentine party of our barangay Sagunto. This was very memorable and will make the teenager out of their seats and encourages and inspires them to get involved, for the improvement and betterment of our society.
Nicole and committee of the program you orchestrated and organized the party very well with your very special guest. Your day games and valentine night program was a great ice breaker. What an enjoyable and night to remember for you guys. Having a dedicated committee – I cannot express this enough. You have a group of people who are dedicated, hard-working, and full of motivation. Everyone has a role and they are all vital in coming together in the end to make everything work. It’s a lot of work but its well worth all your time and effort! Well done!!!!

I loved watching all these photos! Thanks for sharing them with us guys. Community events and celebrations such as the Valentine’s party is a way for the people to take a break from the daily chores, be entertained and a nice way to bond with each other and foster the “Bayanihan Spirit”.

It makes me happy to see this very handsome young man, Eduardo III (and ALL the young people who were instrumental in making the party a success), take part in the festivities—I can see the future leaders in these bunch :-) Congratulations everyone!
