Surplus Fiesta Funds

Kagawad Arlene Paliwen saw the comment on this site which asked where the unused portions of Fiesta funds go. She sent us this update regarding funds collected from the 2005 and 2006 fiesta.
2005 Fiesta - Chairman: Dr. Rommel Garcia
Surplus amount: P12,500
This amount was used to purchase (inpaaramid da) the barangay’s session table pictured below.
2006 Fiesta - Chairman: Madam Felma Diocares
Surplus amount: P7,500
This amount is still in the Barangay’s treasury. According to Kagawad Arlene, “isu ti eggen ni tresurero tatta ta haan met nga umanay nga paggatang ti sound system ta isu met ti proposed project ken isu ti kasapulan ti barangay ta tunggal adda affair ti barangay ket ta la sound system ti problema nu pangalaan ti pagbayad. isu nga napagnonomwan nga nayunan dijay uray inot-inot tapno adda maiyala ti sound system ti barangay.”
I have requested Kagawad Arlene to also update us on the status of the last fiesta that is generating so much speculation on Chatango. Until we hear official word from the barangay council, may I request our regular chatters to please hold judgment until we know what the true situation is. Thank you. ~ jeanette
