The mayor said in her speech,
“I wanted to bring “pasalubong” for all of you but didn’t think that I could fit enough “bangus” in my luggage for everybody. Instead, I decided to bring pictures of my town. A town that probably looks a lot like the towns you come from. A town in a country we all love. I hope you enjoy my short presentation.
THANK YOU AND GOOD EVENING!”
We present to you, this touching view of OUR TOWN that we all hold dear and love. Thank you to the mayor for sharing this with us (with the assistance of Ms. Dhang Manaois). Enjoy!

You know I never even knew that Sison had so many beautiful gems tucked away. The Mayor took most of the photos and chose the song that accompanies the lovely presentation. She said the photos were taken during her visits to the individual barangays. She said that this is the reason why she wants to maintain the natural beauty—she really wants to make sure that these sites are preserved for the future generations. After I saw this presentation in Long Beach during her visit, I was truly proud to say I know of this place… I hope you all enjoy her presentation!

Oh, wow, nice video. The accompanying song is one of my favorites and it goes really well with the video. Was that waling-waling that was flashed in the beginning? Didn’t realize that Sison has waling waling

Actually sis Evz, talaga nga haan nak met nga believe when I first saw this video and asked Mayora where these photos were from and she mentioned all the different barangays, Alibeng, Labayug, Bantay Insik, etc.(never even heard of some of the places she’s visited, then again, that’s not so hard to do w/me! Alam ko laeng Sagunto, Agat, Artacho, Paldit, Ili. LOL!). Syempre, we can only judge by what we’ve seen in our own barangay (dyay basura ti waig, etc.). So it really is ALL our job to educate our katribu in Sagunto to make it nice and clean. No more dumping trash on the river tapno pumintas met kasla dagidyay nabuya tayo nga napicture da dita video. Nag-pipintas dagidyay orchids anya? Next time I go home, I really plan on visiting these sites to see for myself

we were planning some picnic around the western side of sison after our seminar event but i was just so busy before we left… jane told us about really fresh udang and lots of fish still in those clean rivers there on the other side of sison….sigh. anyway, there’s still tomorrow. babot, have you not seen the waterfalls up our mountain on the way to pilaoan? there are hidden falls there. whatever man couldn’t reach is still clean.

waling waling is an orchid flower originally from the “kabakiran”. now it is cultured by women in the neighborhood…lots at mareng chita’s house in LU, or you see lots of them at lola soling’s garden in Agat…waaah, awan metten dyay baketen. evs, umay ka agpasyar dita taltalon tapno makitam ti evergreen scenery malabasam pay ti tig- 6-M nga houses dita. (just don’t look at my dilapidated haunted house). when i was home, the rivers had an instant new look courtesy of the typhoons.
one sad thing is, the barrio water hose was overflowing…tumtumpuak la ti danum ta paraangan da dita daya…there’s no reservoir to keep the excess water for the dry season.

WOW! Bot, you were able to flash the slides so fast. Dang and I were just conversing how to send it to u yesterday but upon my arrival at the office this morning, Dang immediately showed me the slide shows u organized in our site.
The honorable mayor, in her vacant hours, sometimes visits our site - fondly reading your comments and suggested ideas.
Emz is ryt. Waling-waling, IT’S NOT A TREE BOT!, are cultured flowers here. They don’t exist in our mountains and cannot exist in the wild. Know why? because kung meron man di magtatagal, sigurado kukunin un.
With regards to the “BASURA” in our rivers and creeks, there are now 2 new garbage trucks (with compactor) that arrived to start with. According to the Honorable Mayor, one of these garbage trucks can contain 4 times the load of the old garbage truck. But before these trucks will be sent into our barangays to pick up our trashes, constituents will be thoroughly briefed on the proper waste disposal management.
Eavesdropping, I also heard of an ambulance coming from the PCSO for our town use.
Bros and sis, let’s help build our town become the best place to live in. Just the handful of us, I know we can do a lot.

Bot, Mr. and Mrs. Ed De La Cruz just left. We had a lunch date with the honorable mayor. Like u, they also have lots of questions re: status of our town in all angles. So what I did is initiated both parties to meet and I was so relieved when mayora asked me to invite them for a lunch here at the office. Ayy! Mrs. Carvelyn De LaCruz, formerly Miss Cadalig, is our kabarangayan. Her husband, manong Ed, is from hundred islands. Both of them are the senior advisers of the Sagunto Friendship Association of London where Judee is the incumbent association president.
they really had a nice talk, questions and answers, in front of the members of the municipal council headed by the vice mayor. I think everything is clear now. The duo vowed to help Sison. They are now the Mayor’s new envoys to London.

The honorable mayor just got off my seat, she showed to a lot of our municipal officials and employess the slide shows recently entered by bot in our site. The whole pack were so amazed. buti pa kayo diyan, u were able to see it first than these employees and mun officials. The mayor even said that when she was showing the slides in the US, some of those retirees watching were crying and wanted to go home outrightly.

It is a flower, an orchid. I think it’s mostly grown in Mindanao particularly the Davao area. The flower in the early part of the video looks like it belongs to the waling-waling family but I’m not really sure

Wow! Am glad the De la Cruz’ were able to meet with the Mayor and ask all their questions. As I said, the Mayor is very transparent in her governance and doesn’t mind the questions—quite a breath of fresh air from what we’re used to as far as the usual bureaucratic ways of government business, huh? Am sure that the De la Cruz’ will go back to London to spread the good news. Let’s just keep in mind that Rome wasn’t built overnight so we really have to show patience and support for all these town initiatives.
I always said “If you want things to run right, get a WOMAN to do it!”
(No offense to the Honorable Congressman, hehehe!)
