SK Adds Midgets to the Tournament
Children always love tournaments! The SK Sponsored Basketball Tournament started last weekend, and children, of course, are the number one fans; but they are fans who also want to get in on the action. So the Sangunian Kabataan council decided to create a division just for them.
SK chairman, Arlene Paliwen, said they added additional categories for Midgets (6-12 yrs old), Juniors (13-15 yrs old) and Girls. Arlene says, “Very interested gamin dagitoy kids su nga nagplan kami nga agpagame kami ti midgets tapno imbes nga maiwar-wara da diay dalan after school ket may-mayat laengen nga agbasketball da.”Before the games even started, the kids were already at the abong, all excited that they get to be a part of the games too.

Aaaaw, how cute!!! Good idea Arlene and SK group to include the very young. Athletics, in any form is much better than video games. The children will learn early on to follow rules and be more disciplined because of their sports involvement.
